I have been over zealous with political comment lately so have now accepted the offer to assemble and write for two blogs on the WatchingUK website. The "Good News" blog is for items where we have benefited from the Brexit referendum vote and the "Bad News" blog is where others have tried to damage our chances of leaving the EU.

Have to admit, I cry when I watch this, even at 77.

Well, not actually cry, but the tears do well up...

It is about South Africa and is in Afrikaans, but I can assure you, you do not need to know the language to feel the despair.

There are various amounts of murders to farm owners and workers so it is hard to ascertain the truth, but it is generally acknowledged that farm murder rates are 50% higher than the rest of South Africa, and although farmers have it tough, killing of white non-farmers in South Africa has halved since the end of Apartheid, whereas black on black killings have swelled enormously.

I've been away for 61 years but still feel the pain.
