Cellphone to help curb farm crime in South Africa - spots an intruder 3 miles away!

Inventor Kenneth Miya says he has designed a special cellphone that can help fight crime in remote areas, especially farming communities.

Miya, 27, from Buffelspruit near Komatipoort, says his cellphone sends the owner a message or alarm signal within 20 seconds of detecting someone about 3miles away from their home.

"This device is mobile and needs no installation. It is to alarm systems what cellphones are to telephones," he said.

He said it took him 10 years to perfect his invention.
