APOLOGIES
I have been over zealous with political comment lately so have now accepted the offer to assemble and write for two blogs on the WatchingUK website. The "Good News" blog is for items where we have benefited from the Brexit referendum vote and the "Bad News" blog is where others have tried to damage our chances of leaving the EU.

A new website for serious business users and their engineers of Ubuntu

The website in question is http://odm.ubuntu.com/

This is a gold mine not only for Ubuntu Engineers and Systems Analysts but company executives investigating whether Ubuntu is suitable for their business can see a list of serious business software "Ubuntu ready". At present there is a round hundred on the list and it is expanding all the time.

In addition, there is a list of hardware suitable for running Ubuntu on. At present there are 15 manufacturers and cover Desktops, Servers, Laptops and Netbooks.

This information has been available for some time on the many websites in the Ubuntu Community, but full marks for Canonical for gathering it all together onto one website.
